We have two rentals available. The Organic Cotswolds Cowshed and The Organic Cotswolds Shepherds Hut.
We are on a 5 acre rural property that was once part of a larger farm, situated between Stroud, Cheltenham and Gloucester. This area has some stunning hills, valleys, villages and small towns to explore. Further north - by about 30 minutes - is the much posher end of the Cotswolds. More Bentleys and Range Rovers and mansions used by wealthy Londoners. It's also flatter terrain. This end of the Cotswolds is more tractors and Land Rovers and in my view more beautiful scenery.
We are 8 miles to Cheltenham (10 miles to the famous horse racing circuit). 6 miles to Stroud, 36 miles to Bath, 42 miles to Bristol and 20 minute walk to the famous cheese rolling hill. Also 15 minutes walk to the Cotswolds Way - a popular walk for travellers from around the world which is 102 miles in length from Chipping Camden in the north to the beautiful city of Bath in the south. If you want to travel further afield from here, it's about 1.5 hours drive to the stunning Brecon Beacons in Wales or about 50 minutes to the beautiful Malvern Hills
The Cowshed is a cosy one bedroom with a sofa bed - so can sleep 4. Baby travel cot and highchair available to guests. I accept one dog for an extra fee of £5/night. It has a fully kitted out kitchen with full size oven and dishwasher. Sorry, no microwave. There is a smart projector for your entertainment which has Netflix, Amazon Prime etc built in plus a hdmi input. for a laptop connection. It has it's own private garden with outdoor seating and outdoor dining table.
The Shepherd's Hut, nestled in an orchard, sleeps two. It is a well insulated hut with very good wood burning stove so you will be toasty warm in the winter and not too hot in the summer heat. It has a compost toilet and and outdoor hot water shower for the sole use of the hut guests. For those wanting a little more luxury there is a communal indoor shower in a converted stables which also houses washing up facilities and a fridge/freezer with ice packs in the freezer section which can be used to cool an icebox in the hut. Wood is provided for the wood burning stove. Extra wood can be purchased to use with fire pit which is close to the hut - but this is also available to the Cowshed guests. The hut has a smart oven and a single induction hob. A cafetiere, ground decaf and caffeinated coffee and tea is provided. Pots, pans and utensils are also provided as well as some oil, salt and pepper.
